Tutors & Services
Teaching vs. Contracting

When you're working on a 3D project—whether it's architectural rendering, product design, or animation—you'll often face a big question: Should I learn how to do this myself with a tutor, or should I hire someone to do it for me? If you’re stuck in SketchUp, trying to optimize a scene in Blender, figuring out manufacturing steps in Fusion 360, or setting up BIM workflows in Revit, the right choice can save you days.

Both approaches have advantages. Tutoring builds your long-term skills, while contracting gets you polished deliverables fast. The best choice depends on your goals, deadlines, and budget.

When to choose Teaching (1-on-1)

Choose tutoring when you want to build lasting capability. Learn directly on your files, at your pace, with a specialist in your exact toolset—e.g. SketchUp, Revit, Fusion 360, Blender, Rhino + Grasshopper, or even Excel for reporting. Sessions can be recorded so you can replay steps later.

Typical tutoring goals we see: getting comfortable with AutoCAD detailing, setting up Enscape views, learning clean 3D modeling habits, or preparing assets for Unreal Engine.

  • Best for recurring tasks or career growth.
  • Tailored guidance on your real project files.
  • Great value over time as your speed and quality improve.

When to choose Contracting (done-for-you)

Pick contracting when deadlines, polish, and output speed matter most—e.g., investor decks, client presentations, production drawings, or marketing visuals. Hand it off and get a finished deliverable without the learning curve. Common examples: photoreal 3D rendering, Civil 3D grading plans, SolidWorks/Inventor part libraries, ZBrush concept sculpts, Cinema 4D motion frames, Maya character clean-ups, or Bluebeam mark-up sets.

  • Fastest path to a professional result.
  • Ideal for one-off or highly specialized work.
  • Lets you focus on other priorities.

Or go Hybrid: collaborative screen-share

Many clients combine both: work live with a specialist who advances the file while explaining each step. You leave with a deliverable and repeatable knowledge. This shines for tasks like optimizing heavy Blender scenes, converting AutoCAD plans to Revit, preparing 3D-print models, or cleaning geometry for Unreal or Enscape.

Not sure what category you’re in? If you just need a clean, finished model, 3D modeling services might be fastest. If you want hands-on skills for the long run, start with a tutor in SketchUp or Fusion 360. If your need is broad—“just CAD help”—our general CAD page is a good entry point.
