I’m 28 years old and I have been an Autodesk Revit & AutoCAD Certified Professional for 7 years. I’ve been working mainly with contract/temporary positions since I graduated from Penn State University in 2011 with a degree in Building Engineering Technology. These positions consisted of me helping to get the company up to speed with the adaptation of the company’s specific standards, including, creating from scratch, custom families, template creation & schedules during their transition from CAD drawings to a 3D Building Information Modeling (BIM) program called, Autodesk Revit.

After completing an MS Interior Architecture degree at the Boston Architectural College, and a BA(Hons) from Staffordshire University, I have experience using SketchUp Pro, SU Podium, SU Podium Walker, Revit LT 2020 and TwinMotion (basics) and I am familiarized with the online designfiles.co platform for e-design projects. I have been working with interior designers, architects and homeowners doing freelance 3d modelling and rendering work for 7+ yrs and online tutorials for 5+yrs.

I am certified in CAD with experience in Sketchup, AutoCAD, and Blender. I can teach you the basic tools of Sketchup 101 as well as 3D thinking and visualization. I love teaching and helping people to shape their ideas through 3D design. Whether you want to learn a specific software, or a whole computer pipeline, I am happy to help you learn at your pace to a high level of proficiency.

Many people struggle with software when they begin, and start to wonder if they are able to learn to the extent they hope. I’m a married man who still thinks that he’s the man of the house but I always end up doing what my wife says and wants. I know a thing for sure: I Love what i’m doing so much that even my wife can’t interrupt me while I’m working at something . I love doing 3D photorealistic videos and renderings and floor plans so much that if You ask me nicely I will work for you for free haha. Disclaimer: my passion for architecture is contagious and there’s no vaccine against it. I once went to my guitar class and we ended up spending the hour showing my teacher how to measure his own house using a laser distance measurer. I am a Professor in the field of Computer Aided Drafting (CAD). holding a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Industrial Engineering Technology from Southern Illinois University, an Associate in Science degree in Mechanical Design Technology from Joliet Junior College, and two design & drafting certifications in the Electro-Mechanical and Printed Circuit Board Technologies from Hall Institute in Pawtucket, Rhode Island.

I have been teaching AutoCAD classes at the collegiate level for over 30 years. Serving as the CAD Program Coordinator for Joliet Junior College in Joliet, Illinois, the program’s student advisor, and the hardware and software of the CAD program’s physical plant. The drafting program is comprised of 75 CAD Workstations

My program curriculum includes learning outcomes for both 2D & 3D modeling degrees. The course work is designed for incoming freshmen and folks returning to the marketplace after parenting, career change, or injury rehabilitation. The program involves 80 classes of instruction which result in an associate in science degree in Computer Aided Design & Drafting.

As an instructor & tutor of the AutoCAD software program I guide beginners through appropriate use of the software to create “to scale” real-world drawings. Drawings developed are in compliance with the American National Standards Institute’s ( ANSI) Y14 drafting standards and guidelines. 3D design modeling, including 3D printing, scan-based “point cloud” techniques, publishing, and high-level menu system automation round out his skill set.

I have over 10 years of experience using multiple CAD platforms such as Fusion 360, NX 9, Solidworks, Autodesk Inventor, and more. This experience stems from my passion for design and engineering. In high school, I was on a robotics team as a machinist and designer, creating parts using mills, lathes, and other tools while designing actuating arms and other robotic sub-assemblies. I've worked as a fabricator, welder, and machinist, taking on jobs that involved building everything from airplanes and 3D printers to hot dog carts. My work experience has taught me the most important lesson for designers: how things are made. I will not only assist with your introduction to Fusion 360 but also your start as a designer. When using CAD, it's easy to lose sight of the big picture. Many times I've designed parts that were impossible to make, and I’ll help you avoid making the same mistakes.

I have eighteen years of experience with a South Florida architecture firm and sixteen years practice with SketchUp. I developed and now mentor a 3D modeling and design team.
