After completing an MS Interior Architecture degree at the Boston Architectural College, and a BA(Hons) from Staffordshire University, I have experience using SketchUp Pro, SU Podium, SU Podium Walker, Revit LT 2020 and TwinMotion (basics) and I am familiarized with the online designfiles.co platform for e-design projects. I have been working with interior designers, architects and homeowners doing freelance 3d modelling and rendering work for 7+ yrs and online tutorials for 5+yrs.

Over 30 years experience with 3D CAD software as well as manufacturing software especially in the precision sheet metal field. – I remain current in SketchUp and SolidWORKS software as the software(s) evolves.

SketchUp allows a designer to quickly build a concept and much more including 3d architectural rendering.

SolidWORKS allows for a more parametric or geometry driven interactive design with “real world” implications.

I am certified in CAD with experience in Sketchup, AutoCAD, and Blender. I can teach you the basic tools of Sketchup 101 as well as 3D thinking and visualization. I love teaching and helping people to shape their ideas through 3D design. I have used Rhino and Grasshopper for more than 8 years, for a range of applications including jewellery, product design and architecture.

I have a Masters degree in geology, and spent 5 years building geological models for mining companies before pursuing more aesthetic modeling projects. I tutor a range of clients with varied skill levels in how to get the most out of these powerful software tools. I am patient, adaptable to the different needs of students, and enjoy working with people to find the teaching method that works best for them.

I am a Professor in the field of Computer Aided Drafting (CAD). holding a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Industrial Engineering Technology from Southern Illinois University, an Associate in Science degree in Mechanical Design Technology from Joliet Junior College, and two design & drafting certifications in the Electro-Mechanical and Printed Circuit Board Technologies from Hall Institute in Pawtucket, Rhode Island.

I have been teaching AutoCAD classes at the collegiate level for over 30 years. Serving as the CAD Program Coordinator for Joliet Junior College in Joliet, Illinois, the program’s student advisor, and the hardware and software of the CAD program’s physical plant. The drafting program is comprised of 75 CAD Workstations

My program curriculum includes learning outcomes for both 2D & 3D modeling degrees. The course work is designed for incoming freshmen and folks returning to the marketplace after parenting, career change, or injury rehabilitation. The program involves 80 classes of instruction which result in an associate in science degree in Computer Aided Design & Drafting.

As an instructor & tutor of the AutoCAD software program I guide beginners through appropriate use of the software to create “to scale” real-world drawings. Drawings developed are in compliance with the American National Standards Institute’s ( ANSI) Y14 drafting standards and guidelines. 3D design modeling, including 3D printing, scan-based “point cloud” techniques, publishing, and high-level menu system automation round out his skill set.

Hello! My name is Calvin. I’m an architectural designer with a Masters degree in Architecture and Building Technology from Yale Univeristy. I currently work at an international architecture firm, and have past experience in everything from fabrication shops to parametric design firms. I grew up playing music, always learning and playing new instruments. When I discovered the field of architecture, I started to see technology as an instrument by which we could create a more beautiful world. From parametrics to game design, I’m proficient in a number of architectural, rendering, data visualization, graphic design, robotics, sound engineering, and animation softwares. Through learning these tools, together we can visualize the world around us!

I have over 10 years of experience using multiple CAD platforms such as Fusion 360, NX 9, Solidworks, Autodesk Inventor, and more. This experience stems from my passion for design and engineering. In high school, I was on a robotics team as a machinist and designer, creating parts using mills, lathes, and other tools while designing actuating arms and other robotic sub-assemblies. I have tons of experience with 3D scanning technology, with all of the Artec scanners and Faro Laser Scanner, and can show you how to clean up your high quality scans and prepare them for 3D print, CNC routing, or game design and animation rendering. Hi, my name is Geoff. I have been a professional designer since 1999, and a 3D modeling teacher since 2005. I’ve taught Sketchup at Front Range Community College, the University of Colorado and have taught hundreds of students online. My interest in SketchUp started with my love for snowboarding. I started designing and building snowboard parks when I was 18. SketchUp was the perfect tool for the job. It allowed me to quickly draw the 3D ideas I had in my head. In the summers, I started teaching architects how to use the program. Compared to the complex curves of terrain parks, the straight lines in architecture were easy. Over the years I made thousands of models and have expanded my skills to include product design, 3D print modeling, construction documents, Layout, piping models, topographic models, and various other projects.
